Ivey Welcomes MBA Direct Class of 2024 with Diverse Backgrounds and Skills

Ivey Business School has warmly welcomed twelve graduates from its Honours Business Administration (HBA) program back to campus, marking the start of their journey in the MBA Direct for HBA Graduates Program. This innovative program builds on the foundation laid during their HBA tenure, propelling them to the MBA level in just eight months.

Aside from providing a comprehensive management curriculum, the MBA Direct program also integrates career management, recruitment activities, and international learning opportunities. Moreover, students benefit from a closely-knit cohort with diverse backgrounds, enriching the learning environment.

This year’s intake of the MBA Direct program comprises of a remarkable set of individuals, ranging from a Special Olympics coach in rhythmic gymnastics, an Ivey lecturer fluent in German, a General Internal Medicine resident with research experience in cardiology and pediatric emergency medicine, a recruited field hockey goalkeeper for Team Ontario, a 7th-ranked Canadian karate instructor with a 2nd degree black belt, a member of Western’s Junior Varsity Volleyball Team, a holder of a Student Pilot License, and a CPA certified professional.

This diverse group will be joining the existing MBA Class of 2024, enhancing the mix of experiences, backgrounds, and interests within the cohort, and adding to the unique culture at Ivey.
