Oxford’s Private Markets Program Reaches 1,000 Participants and Aims for Gender Diversity

Oxford Saïd’s Private Markets Investments Programme, led by Professor Ludovic Phalippou, has achieved a significant milestone, welcoming its 1,000th participant. The program, launched in 2020, is making strides in increasing gender diversity, with 33% of the current cohort being women and 41% female guest speakers. Professor Phalippou encourages more women to join, emphasizing the exciting opportunities in private equity and private credit.

The program offers a six-week intensive curriculum, equipping participants with up-to-date knowledge of private markets through various teaching methods. It also features insights from Preqin, a London-based investment data company. Graduates have found value in the program’s community, with one alumna expressing gratitude for the opportunities it has opened.

Preqin, the primary data provider for the program, joined in celebrating the 1,000th participant, highlighting the importance of education in private capital markets as they continue to grow in size and complexity. Christoph Knaack, CEO of Preqin, commended Oxford Saïd for creating an engaging program and looks forward to more participants enrolling to learn about private capital markets.
